During these seasons, you can steer clear of the scorching heat of Athenian summers and avoid the chilly, rainy days of winter.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, it's an ideal time for travelers on a budget, as accommodation costs are much lower compared to the summer months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winter can bring harsh cold and snow in mountainous regions. It works great, gives you unlimited data as soon as you land, and saves you the trouble of looking for a phone shop. Where to stay<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On your first trip to Athens, it's best to stay in the city center, near the Acropolis.
