security so you can enjoy this city on the Black Sea.

Batumi is the capital of the Ajaria region, the second most populated city and the third largest in Georgia, where the country's Constitutional Court has operated since 2007.

There is the main Georgian port on the Black Sea and it is one of the Favorite destinations for locals to take a dip in the summer.

On the other hand, it is a destination highly appreciated by Russians who spend their summers and live there.

In addition, Turks are other of the most frequent visitors, first due to proximity and second as destination to visit its casinos, something that is prohibited in Türkiye.

Hence, Batumi, or Batum for the Turks, is known as Black Sea Las Vegas.

Honestly, this last point was what caused me a bit of rejection and little desire to visit Batumi.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="750" height="500"
