FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.

It’s crazy busy, but the skytrain makes it easy to get around. If you are not going for the night life, then 2-3 days in this city is enough. If I was going back on my own, 2 days is fine then travel outside the city. If I took my daughters again, then we would definitely revisit the markets (night train market mainly) to buy great outfits and prices we could never do at home. Then after 3 days, leave Bangkok and travel to beaches.

    Food is amazing!

Food is amazing! Had the best fruits and noodles (Tom Yum and others) Markets were mesmerizing specially the chattuchak weekend market. So many ways to get around but "Grab" app is definitly your best friend if you're a tourist... Try using Grab first to get an idea of what a trip costs from your destination or how long it takes so you can bargain when you have to use a tuk tuk. If not you will get ripped off. There are beautiful parks in the heart of city. loved visiting and reading about Wat Pho and other temples. Try out the dinner cruises, there's so many types from party yachts to romantic candlelit ferries with live music. Roof top bars to enjoy cocktails at sunset. Many more planned for our next visit which we missed out on.

We enjoy a mix of eating street food and checking out local restaurants. The food is the main reason for the travel to Bangkok, and the locals are the friendliest people I have met. They make you feel safe and welcomed. Don't be scared to eat the street food, it's clean and we have never gotten sick. It's also cheaper and taste better.

Bangkok is a big chaotic place that smells like a toilet doesn’t matter where you are. We took a beautiful trip to the north, and I think we got spoiled there (the people were lovely, the cities were clean, the coffee was great, and the prices were good). Bangkok was the opposite. We stayed just 3 nights, and to be fair, one of the days was nice. A local man gave us a whole itinerary doing a boat trip through the main river and stopping at the big lying Buddha; that was the highlight!

Checkin was a breeze. Had to leave a 500THB cash key deposit: not really uncommon in many hotels at this pricepoint Room was big. Bathroom was very clean. King size bed was comfy with crisp, clean sheets People were polite and efficient. I didn't use the MRT but i was told a Blue Line station was walking distance. The blue line can get you all over Bangkok easily.
