Rooftop bars and restaurants with views of the river, the old town, and the city of Bangkok at a price that everyone can afford.
One of the best things to do in Bangkok is to visit a sky bar or rooftop, which are bars and restaurants on terraces, sometimes in skyscrapers, where you'll have incredible bird's-eye views.
However, trendy spots have one downside: prices can be quite high.
For example, the most popular spot right now and one of the best rooftops in Bangkok is the CRU Champagne Bar, where a beer costs 1,200 bahts (30.97 euros / 33.80 USD).
But here's some good news: there are other much more affordable alternatives in Bangkok where you won't have to worry about dress codes
While prices might be slightly higher than a street-level bar, the views and atmosphere are worth it for a great evening out.
These places offer more modest views than skyscrapers, except for number 8, which is a skyscraper but has inexpensive options.
Additionally, I've included an extra: the most impressive viewpoint in all of Bangkok.
In this list of affordable rooftop bars and restaurants in Bangkok, I've included the prices to give you an idea of what to expect. And at the end of the article, there's a map with the locations.
If you don't have time to read the entire article, you can book a buffet dinner at Baiyoke, on the 84th floor for an inexpensive meal in a Bangkok skyscraper.

👉 Another Option
You could also opt to stay in the same hotel. Depending on the season, rooms can be quite affordable. You can check prices and book here.
The rooms have a slightly outdated design, but they are very spacious and comfortable.
lus, depending on the floor where you stay, you can have excellent views right from your room.
As a guest, you'll receive a complimentary drink at the Sky Bar, as well as access to the observation deck on the 83rd floor and the revolving platform on the 84th floor, whenever you please.
One significant perk of staying at the hotel is the opportunity to watch the sunrise – something I personally enjoyed during my visit. You can catch a glimpse of it in the video below.
If you're not staying at the hotel, you'll need to pay to access the observation decks, and the earliest entry time is 10 am.
⭐ Extra – Mahanakhon Observation Deck
The King Power Mahanakhon is a five-star hotel, acclaimed for its luxury and boasting a restaurant with panoramic views and a sky bar.

Well, let me explain, this hotel offers a fantastic option – you can simply visit its observation deck situated on the 74th floor, with access to the platform on the 78th floor.
Please be aware that the 78th floor may close during inclement weather.
The highlight is their "glass tray" on the outdoor area, a unique glass platform providing a captivating view downward.
