4. Yoga Retreat, Meditation, emotional purification and detox
This yoga retreat takes place in the north of Bali, in a super authentic and quiet area, and it is also very comprehensive. These are the main reasons why it is one of the most popular retreats on the Island of the Gods and the one I recommend at the beginning of the article.
Yoga classes and most activities are held at the retreat center located in Kaliasem.
To access it, you need to climb 98 steps, but the reward is the spectacular views over the Bali Sea, rice fields, and mountains.
The main style of yoga classes is Kundalini, involving exercises that promote body detoxification and metabolism improvement.
Additionally, meditation techniques are practiced in the yoga classes to calm the mind and undergo emotional cleansing.
The yoga retreat includes four excursions to the most spectacular places in northern Bali.

The treatments are:
- Full-body relaxing massage with coconut oil and green tea scrub.
- Herbal exfoliation, mud treatment for legs and feet and honey body massage.

These are the perfect holidays that combine yoga classes for physical and mental balance, along with fun surf lessons in Canggu, the trendy and surfer-friendly spot in Bali.
This retreat is also great if you're traveling with others who have different interests or prefer a more adventurous and less zen experience.
Depending on the day, you'll have one or two yoga classes. The morning classes are a mix of Ashtanga and Vinyasa, making them more energetic—a perfect way to start the day.
On the other hand, the evening class is either Yin yoga or Restorative, performed on the floor with slow and deliberate movements, perfect for relaxing the muscles after a surfing session.
For the surf lessons, we'll seek out the best waves based on the daily conditions (wind, tide, weather) and the skills of each surfer.
Therefore, if you see some massive waves and you're a beginner, don't worry—they'll always take you to a spot where you can make the most of the class; they are true professionals.

Hello, I’m Andrea, the creator and writer of Viajeros Activos (Active Travelers). I’m a nomad, so I consider myself a full-time traveler. I’m passionate about good food and always looking for new adventures.
I've been thinking about doing a yoga retreat for some time. Now I just have the opportunity to go to Bali and I have thought about doing the retreat.
Reading your article I have it very clear! I can't wait to go!
Thank you thousands for all your recommendations, you don't know how much they have helped me.
Thank you thank you thank you!!
If you do the retreat in Bali you will not regret it, because you will experience a super complete experience.
Besides, Bali is very worth it.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot, Rosa María!
Hello, Thank you very much for summarizing the retreats so well. I have seen that they are all in English. Would you know of yoga retreats in Bali that are also taught in Spanish? Thank you very much 🙂
Hello Lai
As far as I know, there is a yoga retreat in Spanish in Bali, but I don't know the teachers, although they have spoken well of them.
Is this: https://www.bookyogaretreats.com/es/omm-retreats/8-dias-de-retiro-de-yoga-en-bali-indonesia-1?aid=6145
The accommodation is in the rice fields area of Ubud and the retreat is in Spanish, but in addition to the daily classes in the hotel shala which are in Spanish, it includes classes at Yoga Barn, these classes are in English. I don't know if you know Yoga Barn, but it's one of the best yoga places and if you can take advantage of it you'll love it.
To do yoga classes, even if they are in English, you don't need much knowledge, as long as you know the names of the postures you will be fine, because many teachers don't say the names in Sanskrit, they say them in English. Then you can take advantage of taking classes in more places.
You tell me anything!
Andrea
I would love to travel
Yes, traveling is a beautiful experience.
I hope you can travel soon Myrian.
A hug!
Hello, my mother (78 years old) and I (52 years old) want to travel to Bali. It is my mother's dream. We are looking for a calm, authentic and safe trip. Neither of us knows English, where do we start?
Hello Yolanda
Well, I could write a whole article to answer, hahaha.
Bali is a beautiful island and a very particular place in Indonesia, you could say that it is the safest place in the entire country and with the friendliest people. Speaking English could help you but it is not impossible to make the trip either.
As you write to me from the article on yoga retreats in Bali, I understand that you are looking for a retreat. The advantage of retreats is that they usually include airport transfers, meals, accommodation and some other activities.
In Spanish I have not tried any, but they spoke well of the teachers of this one from the link, which includes an excursion and a Balinese cooking workshop.
If they do not want to make the withdrawal, I can give you the following recommendations:
1. Buy a SIM card and use the translator to make yourself understood.
2. Book the airport transfer in advance so you won't have to worry about anything when you arrive, this one from the link.
3. For visits you can hire the transfer service from the previous point to take you, it has service to the main places on the island.
4. The hotel can also help you with transportation, use the translator for this.
5. Join excursions, not all of them have a guide in Spanish but it is a practical way to visit without getting complicated.
I leave you this other article with the best places to visit in Bali where I include some excursions that have a guide in Spanish.

If you have any questions, ask, I'm here!
All the best
Andrea
Hello,
I am interested in the yoga retreat to lose weight. Can you give me the information please.
Thank you
Flower
Hi Flower
If you go to the link I left at the retreat to see the calendar and make the reservation, below you will see that there is a green button that says "send question."
There you can contact the retreat organizer directly.
You tell me anything.
All the best
Hello beautiful, I would like to know if you have information about retreats or yoga instructors in Spanish or with an interpreter in Spanish, they are all in English.
thank you so much
Hello Mireya
Yes, in fact this 2024 there is a center that will organize yoga retreats in Bali in Spanish which I want to add to the article shortly, you can see it in the link. The classes are 100% in Spanish, multi-level, Vinyasa, Yin and Nidra. The retreat includes everything and several visits.
When it comes to yoga instructors in Spanish in Bali, I don't know of any, a shame, because they don't usually have enough people and they don't last long.
If you don't care about the country, in Asia there are two this year, one in India and another in Nepal which is very good, you can take a look at it there.
Enjoy it!
hello. I would like to know if there are 2-week programs. thank you
Hello, ximena
Yes, in fact next year it will be organized this Vinyasa yoga retreat in Spanish with many activities and visits included.
Another alternative is this other which is very complete, it is Hatha yoga and meditation, it is 13 days.
Enjoy it! 🙏
